PRADA

For Prada's S/S 2011 'Minimal-Baroque' eyewear range, Muiccia Prada hired three up and coming illustrators - Marcela Gutierres, Andrea Tarella and Ivo Bisignano - to create a lookbook for their sunglasses. Here's some of the images by Gutierres and Tarella. I wasn't so Keen on Bisignano's work.

ANTONIO LOPEZ

Love the colours of these fashion illustrations by Anotonio Lopez, known as the most inspiring illustrator to date.
He worked with a variety of materials including pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, watercolour and polaroid film.

These images were featured in the May issue of ELLE in 1967.
Very fitting to the colours that are in fashion now.

He looks like a cool guy too!

G'DAY MATE

These are from a Croatian-Sydney based designer called Karla Spetic.
Liking this Spring Summer collection.
Very similar to paul smith stuff.
They're printed with images of the Australian outback.
The collection appears very dream-like and feminine when mixed with the pastel colours.
Cool!

FILM NOIR

About two weeks ago I went to visit my boyfriend Jack in Blackpool so we could do a shoot for his most recent project.
He had been given a brief to create a stills movie focusing on Narrative.
He'd given me an idea of what he wanted to do, keeping it black and white and making it look quite old and a song he wanted to work around for it.
We brainstormed some ideas and ended up looking into film noir and the character of the femme fatale.

The final narrative ended up being me playing said femme fatale who is followed by a curious man. She provocatively lures this man into her hotel room and murders him.

We took a little trip to Lancaster to do the shoot which was lovely, the perfect setting! It was full of cobbled streets, old buildings, shady alleys and big street lights.

We tried to make it a little 1950's glamourous.
I styled my own outfit, choosing an old Armani summer dress that used to be my mums with a laced up back. I matched my red McQueen shoes with skull zips (sounds modern I know, but they looked good!) - the red to connote passion and danger ... though this couldn't be seen since the final film came out black and white!
We went to Primark & picked up a bargain black coat for £5! Looked perfect!
We also brought a big dome umbrella, Moschino from TK Maxx for about £8.

I thought the outfit worked really well, it was just a shame it was quite wet & windy when we shot...meant my hair didn't stand a chance!
But it added to the atmosphere really well!

Anyway!
Here it is!

THE GOOD AND THE BAD

So I lost my job today.....

But won a free ticket to see the legend
BOB DYLAN!!

Managed to loose my job before even starting it! unfortunately they have decided to pull Crew Clothing out of Lincoln's House of Fraser, therefore, I am jobless again!
But this does mean I can do the full month of my internship without any issues :)

After hearing this bad news I received an email from supajam.com to say I had won a ticket to see Bob Dylan at the Feis Festival at Finsbury Park in London!
Uber excited! Several of my friends have also got tickets so it should be an awesome weekend!

London <span class=

This just completed my summer :)

SHOE CRAZED

I'm between opinions on these very colourful and twee wedges from D&G.
I think they're pretty exciting and playful, but i'm not sure if they're a bit too much..

Love the floral print on the wedges above, annoyingly couldn't find pictures of the handbags that have this print on.
The one on the left is very similar to a print Jonathan Saunders used this year though!

Love this little floral bag though, very sweet!

MARCHESA SPRING 2011

Been meaning to post about this collection for a while now.
There are some truly stunning dresses from this spring collection.
Inspired by the oriental they are heavily bejewelled, hand painted with floral designs and include some impressively sculptured shapes.
All very pretty and feminine.
Goooorgeous!
